CMS Publishes CY 2026 ESRD Prospective Payment System (PPS) Proposed Rule
July 2, 2025 The Calendar Year (CY) 2026 End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Proposed Rule was published on July 2, 2025. Each year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issues a proposed rule to update Medicare payment policies and rates under the PPS for renal dialysis services furnished to beneficiaries on or after January 1 of the following year. This rule proposes updates to the ESRD Quality Incentive Program. CMS welcomes public comment on the proposals. The public comment period is open from July 2, 2025, through August 29, 2025.
