**Important Message** EIDM Registration Clarification
This message is designed to help clarify the “Application Description” and “Role” ALL users (both Security Officials and Regular End Users) must select when completing the account registration process in the Enterprise Identity Management System (EIDM).
When creating your account in the new EIDM application (accessible via Portal.CMS.gov), you must leave QualityNet Authorization and Role Management (QARM) in the “Application Description” field on the Request New Application Access screen. This will enable the EIDM system to link to QARM once QARM is available on July 19, 2016.
Furthermore, please be sure to select QualityNet User in the “Select a Role” field. Selecting an option other than QualityNet User will cause your account request to be rejected.
Please Note: EIDM displays CCSQ Security Official in the “Select a Role” field. This is a role for CMS-level users only. If you need to be an Organizational Security Official, that selection will be made in the QARM system once it is available in mid-July.
If your EIDM account request has been rejected due to an incorrect Role selection, please follow the steps below to resubmit your application:
- Login to EIDM from the CMS portal with your newly created User ID and password.
- Navigate to the Request New Application Access screen.
- Ensure that QualityNet Authorization and Role Management (QARM) is selected in the “Application Description” field.
- Ensure that QualityNet User is selected in the “Select a Role” field.
- Submit your request.
