| Paired Exchange and Multi-organ Transplant Treatment Types unavailable in Transplant Treatment Section – January 9, 2025 |
|
On January 9, 2025, Paired Exchange and Multi-Organ transplant treatment types were made unavailable in the Primary Type of Treatment drop down box in the Transplant Treatment information section in EQRS.

| User Role Dashboard – January 9, 2025 |
|
On January 9, 2025, CMS released the User Role Dashboard in EQRS. This new dashboard provides CMS, Corporate Dialysis Organizations, Dialysis Facility and ESRD Network users with a list of EQRS user role information for all active users within the user’s scope.

Facility Summary Dashboard – January 16, 2025
|
|
On January 16, 2025, CMS released the Facility Summary Dashboard in EQRS. This new dashboard provides CMS, dialysis organizations and ESRD Networks with real-time information and visualization of certified dialysis facilities’ demographic information, ownership, affiliations, certification information, services offered, hours of operation, facility contacts (non-medical) and medical personnel.

| Additional Pneumococcal Vaccination Option – January 23, 2025 |
|
On January 23, 2025, CMS updated the options users may select for pneumococcal vaccinations in EQRS. Under Vaccination Name in the Add Vaccination Data screen, PCV21 (Capvaxive) was added to the existing list of pneumococcal vaccines. Additionally, the Pneumococcal Pneumonia Vaccination Dashboard was updated to reflect this reported vaccine type.

Updated Account Management Module
|
|
The EQRS Manage Access page will be renamed Account Management and will feature a redesign aimed at improving the user experience. This update will make it easier for users to request roles, manage their own access, and view or update profile information. It will also streamline the responsibilities of Security Officials by simplifying the management of users, roles, and requests.

|
A new Emergency Module will be released soon. This module will serve as an online platform for reporting the emergency situational status of dialysis facilities and for communicating their needs during an emergency or disaster.
The new module improves the current process of submitting Emergency Situational Status Reports (ESSRs) to the Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) by displaying emergency needs of affected facilities on dashboards. This feature facilitates quicker identification of facilities located in areas of need, eliminating the necessity for aggregation of information from spreadsheets. Additionally, it allows facility users to submit or amend daily reports in real time, thereby promptly notifying others of changing circumstances and emerging needs. Furthermore, it offers greater visibility into the disaster-related challenges facing the ESRD community, enabling surrounding facilities to step in and provide assistance when possible, to ensure patients continue to receive necessary care.

EQRS Data Submission Deadlines for Calendar Year 2025 ESRD QIP Data
|
|
|
Dialysis facilities must submit ESRD data by the deadlines listed below. Failure to submit the required data by these deadlines puts your facility at risk for an ESRD QIP payment reduction. Please note that if the last day of the month falls on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday, the deadline will occur on the next federal business day. The data submission deadlines apply to all collection types (Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis) and to all submission methods. CMS strongly recommends that facilities complete large data submissions and audit batch submitted data prior to data submission deadlines.
