EQRS Data Submission Deadlines for the 2022 Reporting Months

This announcement is to notify dialysis facilities of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data submission deadlines for the remaining End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Reporting System (EQRS) 2022 reporting months. The tables below indicate the remaining data submission schedule for 2022 data:
- EQRS Clinical Data
- Clinical Depression Screening and Follow Up
- In-Center Hemodialysis Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (ICH CAHPS) Attestations
Monthly EQRS clinical data submission opens on the first day of the month and closes approximately two months after the end of the reporting month. EQRS data closures typically occur on the last day of the month. However, if the last day of the month falls on a weekend or on a Federal holiday, the closing date will be the following Federal business day.
These data submission deadlines apply to all collection types (Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis) and to all submission methods. For additional information on how to submit data in EQRS, refer to the Education page on MyCROWNWeb.org.
Dialysis facilities must submit EQRS data by these deadlines to meet the CMS reporting requirements. Failure to complete the submission of data by the deadlines listed in this announcement puts your facility at risk for an ESRD Quality Incentive Program payment reduction.
If your facility batch submits or uses the Health Information Exchange/Electronic Data Interchange methods, please follow the guidance provided by your organization.
Please note: CMS strongly recommends that facilities complete large data submissions and audit batch submitted data prior to data submission deadlines to ensure accurate and timely data submission.
